As well as being compulsively organised, I am also one of those irritating ‘better to be an hour early than a minute late’ sort of people.
So with the prospect of snow, I needed to leave super early to get to Nottingham for a 10am start …. sat nav said 1 hour 14 minutes, so I thought it wise to allow for coffee, toilet, traffic jams, snow, accidents and such things, and left at 8am (crack of dawn)
I used my spare time wisely though, as the venue for my workshop was stuffed to the brim with cakey things, such an amazing place, The Cake Decorating Company
Three carrier bags of ‘cakey stuff’ made their way into the boot of my car …. cake decorating is a very addictive, indulgent craft but I cannot wait to play with my new toys!
The making tables were set up ready …
Sugar veil is made in a large sheet, dried and can then be used in many ways – cut into shapes, made into bows, draped over a cupcake or made into ‘jewellery’ with gorgeous brooches (watch this space for our new creations!)
